A Letter to Joe Biden from the Children
Dear President Biden,
Thank you for all the good things you have done for kids. Although we are young, we notice the changes you have made, and we are really happy about them. As you prepare to exit public office, we want to make sure you know how much we appreciate everything you have done to make life better for us.
The extra money you gave to so many of our parents through the Child Tax Credit has helped more than you know. We feel more secure knowing that our moms and dads don’t have to worry as much about how to pay for the things we need. It has helped our parents pay for things like food, clothes, and school supplies. And as you know, kids need all of those things to learn and grow!
Thank you for supporting our public schools. We love going to school, we love learning, and we really love all our teachers. We are happy that you’ve pushed for more funding to help make our schools safer places to learn.
We are also really grateful for the work you’ve done to take care of Planet Earth. We want to grow up in a world where the air, oceans, and waterways are clean. We know you’ve worked really hard to stop pollution where it starts and protect nature. We are really glad you’ve always prioritized future generations.
Thank you for helping our families with healthcare too! We’re really glad you’ve made sure that all kids have access to the care we need. The Affordable Care Act has helped so many of our friends stay healthy, and we know you’ve worked really hard to protect it.
Finally, thank you for working to make the world a kinder place for children. You have always stood up for children everywhere. We have watched you work hard to make things better for all of us.
Thank you, President Biden, for making our lives better. We feel lucky to have had you as our President. We feel hopeful about the future because of the decisions you’ve made. We would be so grateful if you keep the faith and keep working to make sure we grow up healthy, happy, and safe. Now it’s our turn to stand guard. We will be the keepers of your flame. We will keep the faith because we love America too.
